Senior Tax Accountant​

Senior Tax Accountant: Perform professional tax accounting and financial services for client companies. Examine and interpret financial documents, including but not limited to financial statements, corporate accounts, statutory records, corresponding documents, and vouchers. Prepare detailed accounting reports, including consolidated balance sheets and profit and loss statements, and identify and resolve discrepancies. Analyze end-of-year reports of income, expenditures, amortization and depreciation, and current assets and advise clients on strategies to minimize tax burden. Prepare and file federal and state tax returns for corporations and partnerships as well as quarterly wage reports and related filings. Develop robust reporting systems for clients according to GAAP principles in order to ensure consistency and regulatory compliance. Proactively manage clients’ finances in order to minimize loss, reduce fraud risks, and enhance cost-efficiency. Assist clients in responding to IRS audits and related inquiries. Stay abreast of the latest changes in federal and state tax laws and regulations.

Requirements: The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and three years of experience in the job offered. The applicant must be an Enrolled Agent with the IRS. The position requires skills and knowledge in GAAP principles and preparing corporate, partnership, and estate/trust tax returns. The position involves incidental travel – 1% of the time, not more than several days a few times per year.

  • Experience with multi-state individual and business tax returns.
  • CPA strongly preferred
  • Able to review tax returns and identify issues

  • Must be able to efficiently use common office software including Excel, Outlook, Word
  • Correspond directly with clients and vendors

  • Proven competence in Quickbooks and CCH Prosystems
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
